Project Manager Vacancy

Manchester Histories is a growing and dynamic charity that works collaboratively with people, communities and partners from across Greater Manchester to reveal, share and celebrate histories and heritage. Our works transforms lives through histories and heritage.

We are seeking to appoint a self motivated and experienced project manager to lead on the development phase of the Peterloo 2019 project funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.

You will have a passion for histories, heritage and culture, have excellent and relevant experience of project and partnership management, be communicative and a team player.

The post is initially for a seven month period, with the opportunity to continue if the 2nd phase HLF delivery application is successful.

2019 marks the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre. Peterloo is widely acknowledged as a significant event in the history of public protest, the struggle for democracy and the fight against political repression.

Thanks to money raised by National Lottery Players, Manchester Histories and People's History Museum will work in partnership with Manchester City Council, Historic England, University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University, as well as a host of other partners and individuals across Greater Manchester.

The project will commemorated one of the most important episodes in the history of Greater Manchester.
