Getting to Manchester

The easiest way to get to Manchester is by public transport with excellent train and national bus links from across the UK.

National Express coach services arrive and depart in the middle of the city and details can be found at www.nationalexpress.com

Manchester Airport has regular train links to Piccadilly Station that take about 20 minutes and run approximately every 15 minutes at peak times. Visit www.manchesterairport.co.uk

There are lots of car parks across the city if you are travelling by car to Manchester.

Getting About

On foot

It’s easy to walk around Manchester city centre. Pick up a map from the Visitor Information Centre and you can get to most places in under 30 minutes.

Free city centre Metroshuttle

The Metroshuttle is a network of free buses that link the main train stations, car parks and shopping areas across the city centre. There are three circular routes running approximately every 10 minutes www.gmpte.com/buses/metroshuttle.cfm

Metrolink

The Metrolink tram system has four main routes running from Altrincham, Bury, Chorlton and Eccles into the city centre www.metrolink.co.uk
