3 - 12 June 2016

Angel Meadow photography and walking tour

As part of Friends of Angel Meadow Histories Day, Emma Fox of Manchester Guided Tours will explore Angel Meadow with shocking stories of the unimaginable squalor and brutality endured in one of the country's worst 19th century slums.

These nightmarish stories will be juxtaposed with artist Simon Buckley showing his atmospheric half light photographs taken recently at dawn.  Simon's project Not Quite Light "uses the half light of dawn and dusk as a metaphor for transition".
