Manchester Histories Festival - 21 - 30 March 2014

Chinatowntour

A guided tour

Learn about the origins of our Chinese community, and how people live, work and enjoy leisure time nowadays, making Manchester the third largest Chinese population in the country. 2012 is the Year of the Dragon – hear about the traditions, cuisine and religion which make up Chinese culture, and almost unbelievable facts about the country’s phenomenal growth. We visit a supermarket, bakery and gift shop so there is opportunity to purchase genuine Chinese wares.

Are you a tiger, a pig or a rabbit? Find out by joining this tour!

The tour is lead by Barbara Warnock of Manchester Guided Tours.

Tour starting point: Manchester Town Hall front steps, Albert Square, M2 5DB
