A chance to climb the spiral staircase of Manchester’s most iconic building and see the movement of the clock that has kept Manchester in time for over 134 years

An official guide will lead you on this fascinating tour. Discover the history of one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings. Visit the bell room, the mechanics room, and enter the clock face before the unique summit experience. You will view the world-famous Great Abel and walk the catwalk around the tower to enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the city, the Pennines, the Cheshire Plain and beyond.

Manchester Town Hall is home to Manchester City Council and houses a number of local government departments.

Designed by Alfred Waterhouse, and completed in 1877, the Town Hall was rated by English Heritage in 1952 and is now the second most important Grade I listed building in England.
