Family History experts will be on hand at City Library to help people with their research.
Guidance will be available on the use of the vast resources available at the library, including census returns, parish records of baptisms marriages and burials, probate records, newspapers, trade directories etc and how they can all help to build a picture of the lives of our ancestors.
Representatives from the web site Find My Past will be in attendance during the day to demonstrate their ever-growing internet resource. Manchester Regiment & Archives + will also be present to provide advice.
