Performances of Gaskell: The Musical! will be the culmination of a 10 week
community project in which women in Ardwick and the surrounding areas have
worked together to devise the musical and gain an employability
This brand new piece has been inspired by the life, work and
times of iconic Manchester writer, Elizabeth Gaskell and will be take the form
of a promenade performance through her beautifully restored house on Plymouth
The project has been delivered by enJOY arts and musician Claire
Mooney, in partnership with Elizabeth Gaskell's House and is funded by
Arts Council England, One Manchester Community Fund and Places for People.
