Gaskell: The Musical!!

Performances of Gaskell: The Musical! will be the culmination of a 10 week community project in which women in Ardwick and the surrounding areas have worked together to devise the musical and gain an employability qualification.

This brand new piece has been inspired by the life, work and times of iconic Manchester writer, Elizabeth Gaskell and will be take the form of a promenade performance through her beautifully restored house on Plymouth Grove.

The project has been delivered by enJOY arts and musician Claire Mooney, in partnership with Elizabeth Gaskell's House and is funded by Arts Council England, One Manchester Community Fund and Places for People.
