Manchester Histories Festival

Get Creative

Discover Arts Award

Is your child ready for a free, fun and creative mission to take part in and find out about the arts?

Manchester Histories is working with Curious Minds to give children the chance to discover the arts around them, share what they enjoy and gain an Arts Award certificate at the end of the process.

There will be lots for them to do and experience including badge making, singing, drawing, tile making and watching circus performers, and it's a really simple and enjoyable process for all the family.

During the festival, there will be four chances for them to take part at different venues including:

  • Saturday 4 June, Super Saturday at Gallery Oldham
  • Sunday 5 June at the Belle Vue Roadshow at Gorton Monastery
  • Saturday 11 June at the MHF Celebration Day and
  • Sunday 12 June at Manchester Central Library's Sunday Fun Day
  • To take part, simply find the Get Creative Arts Award desk at each of the venues and you can sign up on the day.
