Oxford Road Stroll

A guided tour

Explore the radical history of Manchester's famous and bustling Oxford Road including the Suffragettes, Friedrich Engels, a visit by Malcolm X, student occupations and protests, the origins of punk rock, and the 1945 Pan-African Congress.

The walk is lead by Micheal Herbert, Red Flag Walks.

Tour starting point: Pankhurst Centre, Nelson Street, M13 9WP.
