The Portico Library is one of England's early lending libraries providing books for the growing reading public of Georgian Manchester. Discover our 'Polite Literature' and some of the treasures collected by Manchester’s movers and shakers of the period – all crowned by our glorious Georgian plaster and painted glass dome!
The entrance to the Library is on the corner of Mosley Street and Charlotte Street.
