They Gonna Talk: a history of the Soundsytem

Following on from Lively Up Yourself on Friday 10th, Sound System operators Baron Turbo Charge engage in conversation about their personal history, and the histories of the Sound System in Manchester and the UK.

The discussion is hosted by Dom Blood n Fire and Suhail K, both of whom have a long standing interest and involvement in the genre. Joining them onstage will be James Stirzocular, the animator for I AM THE GORGON.

After the discussion there are two documentary films, Tales from Moss Side and Hulme - by local film maker Karen Gabay, and I AM THE GORGON, the 2013 documentary about Bunny ‘Striker’ Lee.

Join us for food, drink, music, discussion and films from 5pm.
