Romans in Manchester

An exciting chance to explore the Roman fort of Mamucium, with an authentically dressed Roman auxiliary solider. Find out about what life was like for the soldier and civilians in and around the Roman fort during the Roman era. Whilst exploring some of the key features of the fort including the Vicus, the North Gate, the Gatehouse, The Granary and the West Wall.

During the tour the soldier will people to handle replica and real roman objects and will use images to recreate the past.
