Manchester has a close connection to Egypt thanks to the lively trade in cotton and antiquities in the 19th century.

Join Professor Paul Nicholson (Professor of Archaeology in the School of History, Archaeology and Religion at the University of Cardiff) for this talk exploring local links and collected memories. Items from Manchester Museum's archive relating to the Great War will also be on display,
