Based on the oral history project currently taking place with the Yemeni community in Eccles, this event is an exhibition of photographs, selected extracts from oral testimonies and other archival material. The exhibition describes aspects of the history of the Yemeni community in Eccles from the 1950s to the present. Central themes include working lives, leisure-time and milestones in building the community. The exhibition is open-access between 9.30 am and 4.30pm daily.
There will be an exhibition preview on Monday 27th, with a presentation and refreshments. See separate listing.
